Wisdom Of The Day

It’s been few days for me to try to finish a post. I get too lazy to write these days. I spent so much time reading and watching lectures. Alhamdulillah, so many ways to gain knowledge. When I worked, I left my laptop to download videos, and in spare time, I watch the them.  Sometimes I converted the videos into mp3 format, so I can listen to them everytime. 😀 SubhanAllah it is very easy.

Speaking of knowledge, I also love being into discussion with friends. To get more knowledge and understanding. Discussing about our Islamic studies, the books we read, or anything. And alhamdulillah, two of my cousins dropped by. One of them is Kak Leni. She is very pretty, has two very beautiful daughters, live a very good life, and she is now very religious.  SubhanAllah, may Allah grant her everything good in this life and after. I went into some discussion with her today, until she got this message from a friend of her Islamic studies. The message is so wise that made me literally cried. 😥

It is just fair for me to translate it to you all, as a reminder for us, specially me, the one who forgets easily.

The message goes like this :

My brothers and sisters in Islam.
Knowledge of our Lord that we understand is very, very little. VERY LITTLE!

Note that..
The amount of great work of the scholars with their handwriting, many had lost than found.
And that has been found in any form of handwriting, there are still many more un-computerized.
Those already computerized are still many more in Arab, than the ones exist in Indonesia.
The ones that had arrived in Indonesia too, not all are translated, so very little are translated.
We buy only few of the translated ones.
We don’t read everything we buy.
We don’t understand everything we read.

If so, how much knowledge could we possibly have?

😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥 😥

May Allah subhana wa taala protect us from the arogance of having so little of knowledge.

Allah says that even if those oceans were ink for the Words of Allah, and all the trees were pens, the pens would be broken and the water of the sea would run dry, and the Words of Allah would remain, for nothing can outlast them. The knowledge in this world, of the earth, the sky and everything in between, are like a drop of water in comparison to all of the oceans. Our knowledge is like Mr. Plankton from Spongebob Squarepants compared to the entire world. SubhanAllah 😥

“Say: If the ocean were ink wherewith to write out the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid.” [Al Kahf (18) : 109 ]

Ya Rabb,
You are The Owner of all knowledge, please increase our wisdom for the knowledge that brings us closer to You.
You are The Owner of all hearts, please soften our hearts to receive Your Wisdom and please protect our hearts from the arogance and proud.
Ya Rabb, we are nothing compare to Your Greatness, but please love us and guide us to deserve it.

Subhan Allah! These are very wise words indeed! The great scholars who Allah subhaanahu wa ta’aala blessed with great knowledge, lived in the past and they wrote everything down with hand! I never thought about that! Imagine! And yes, most of them are in Arabic, a language that not every Muslim knows.

al-hamdulillaahi it’s a great blessing from Allah subhaanahu wa ta’aala that we can understand English, because in my country too, very few are the books of knowledge translated into our own language.

Thank you sister, this is a very beneficial reminder that there are still so much we don’t know and it is only by the Grace of our Rabb that we know even the little we do!
