When we were sad, we need reasons to justify it, we need to know why, and we need someone to blame.
I used to think that Osama is merely a character built by media to take blame for 9/11 and ruin the muslim image. I only see him form blurry videos, it can be anyone.
And I still think the same. Osama bin Laden is just a character, like Dora the Explorer.
I am not sad for his death nor I am happy. Just exactly how I feel if people tell me,” Dora The Explorer will no longer be aired.” There will be new boring character built to ruin the excitement whenever I watch TV, I just don’t understand Dora, does she has parents? Why her parents let her explore dangerous places? Ridiculous!
Don’t get me wrong, 9/11 was a major blow to humanity, and it made me sad. But I don’t let my sadness clouds my logic and just swallow everything to make me think that there is explanation behind all this, there is somebody to blame out there. And that’s how we deal with everything now, as long as we get to point our fingers to someone, we will feel safer. Why? I don’t know. This world is never safe, what are you thinking?!
So, weather this Osama guy exists or not, weather he was the one to blow the building or not, please stop all the hate. It is no use, will not give us any good. So, he’s dead, celebrating his death OR cursing the ones who celebrate are both awful choices. Stop it, please…
I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
