Hiking!!

Yesterday, I went hiking with some friends. It was fun, alhamdulillah. I love to see the horizon, where the ocean seems to meet the sky. It was really pretty, mashaAllah. That’s the beauty of having your own business, you can take the day off whenever you want to, and having vacation when everyone else is working their bones out for somebody else’s back account.

Sitting on top of the hill, amazing… MashaAllah

Just like regular hiking route, we climb, sitting on the top, and walk back down. Sounds useless? Maybe you will say what’s the point of going up if we have to go back down. Guys, nature is pretty and adorable because we have to leave them and have to struggle back to see it. 😀

This is what I’m taking about! Pretty! MashaAllah!

Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, and the ships which sail through the sea with that which is of use to mankind, and the water (rain) which Allah sends down from the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after its death, and the moving (living) creatures of all kinds that He has scattered therein, and in the veering of winds and clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed Ayat (proofs, evidences, signs, etc.) for people of understanding. [Al Baqara : 164]

I got a new friend, Pete, from Australia. We talked about many things and I love how he is very interested in Islam because his father is a priest owns this huge religious community in Australia. I don’t think he is religious, also not an atheist eather, he is a moralist (believe in good of people). Very interesting person, with outstanding upbeat personality. We talked about hijab, why many muslim woman choose to wear it, we talked about jihad, many more, and… surfing. 😀 He is a devoted surfer. And he can swim!! MashaAllah. In my heart, I hope, he is no longer having misconceptions about the ‘J’ word, jihad, oppression of woman in Islam, etc. I suggested him to find free copy of English translated Qur’an, available in many sites on the internet. Islam is easy, just read the Qur’an.

And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Verily, in that are indeed signs for men of sound knowledge. [Ar Rum : 20]

I slipped, killed my socks, and end up this bruise on my right knee. Very fun! Alhamdulillah wa syukur bi ni’matillah

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient to Him. [Ar Rum : 26]

And Allah subhana wa taala is truthful with His Words. SubhanAllah.

    assalamu aleikum

I’m looking also muslima clothes what suits to lead nature tours. It’s little bit hard, because i’m only muslima on the island where i live and i have no idea is there any other muslimas who are guides in nature. Somehow i found ur blog, at least it’s good to see that u have same intrest like me- hiking 🙂 I converted islam 0,5 years ago and before it have been working as rider guide. Now here, in Estonia, winter is going to end and need to change large winter clothes to other, spring-summer clothes. Thinking now hardly whatkind of comfortable, but suitable hiking and riding clothes i should wear and also where to get them. I have also idea to make boat trips to smaller islands here and continue with riding tours. inshallah i’ll find the way and the clothes to do it as a good muslima:)

ur hiking tour pictures werereally nice. we don’t have here mountains, quite flat landscape. wish also to hike with u one day, inshallah:)

    take care

    salam

      Waalaikum salam warahmatullah wabarakaatuhu,
I think it is very good!
I dont really like boats, but I think your idea is truly awesome.
May Allah make it easy for you on realizing the business plan!

And for the outfit, we can wear anything, as long as it is not revealing and immitating man’s clothes.
Alhamdulillah, islam is easy for people who learn the concept.
May Allah make it easy for you.

Nice job of making dawah, sister- you never know who Allah SWT might choose to guide!
Just out of curiosity- what did you wear to go hiking? It’s hard, as you know, to find clothing that’s Islamically correct and good for working out, athletics, physical pursuits, etc. I gave up and now I just work out in my house!

      My hiking outfit?
I wore female strecthable jeans, knee length shirt, cardigan, walking shoe (the road was not too hard), and a bag.
I walked this same road with skirt once, like 9 years ago, I slipped and alhamdulillah we were all girls (like 15 girls) so i was not very embarassed.
But it is hard to wear loose stuff for hiking, so I suggest to never go to extreme places.
Yes, it was hard, i prefer tank-tops and shorts, but those are not acceptable. 😀

Great, if you erase misconception about hijab. Tell me about it, so i can have the right concept about hijab.
What about poligamy? Heritage laws? Aren’t those the proof of islam being harder on woman?
    what about emancipation?

i am sorry i have npthing against you, only want to know your views about those issues.

    Best of luck! Nice blog!

It is much more pretty in reality, brother Ansar.
That’s why I love going on roadtrip with my little brothers and hiking with my friends. The experience is impossible to be captured in camera, the wind, the moving tree, and of course, the hike it self!

      Allah is The Greatest.
