Niqabi Sisters

With niqab or not, we are sisters and I support you ♥

I went blog walking this morning, and I found this article. My prayers and supports to all the niqabis out there to fight for the freedom of modesty that they believe in. If a person can un-cover themselves on public and wear sunglasses (un-cover everything but the eyes), another woman who chooses to cover everything but the eyes must also be given freedom. Do you agree with me?

I am not a niqabi, but I know that there are some muslima out there who wear niqab, maybe they think it is cumpolsory, maybe they wear because it is cultural, or maybe because that’s their way on expressing their love to Allah subhana wa taala. No matter what their reason is, we have to respect that. But the problem is, niqab is not something very common and not only non-muslims, even some muslims feel a little bit weird when they see a woman cover their face walking in public. I even know some muslims who hate woman with abaya long deep hijab. And to be honest, even though I live in one of the most Islamic province in a country that is told to be the most populated muslim country in the world, I only saw woman with niqabs 4 or 5 times in my life. That’s why it is strange for me too.

Now, I don’t think niqab is necessary. Telling a woman should cover their beautiful face because it attracts the opposite sex is like denying that some men are gorgeous, too. That Maher Zein guy needs to wear niqab as well because I know he makes many many women feel attracted. But we have to respect the differences of opinions in Islam, because we might change into the shape we used to not understand. Like me, I used to hate hijab, look at me now. The differences inside Islam is like the multi-coloured orchids in one garden, the many colours make the garden pretty. The differences make Islam beautiful, so we must not hate each other. Because our understanding grows by time. Don’t hate anything. Now I don’t do niqab, who knows what will happen to me in the future?

I know I can’t feel how they feel, the niqabis. But once I was told to take off my hijab to take a picture shot for my id card. The reason was, they have to see my ears. Wallahy people, nobody would recognize me without hijab so their reason was totally not make sense! I was angry. I think that is a little bit of the feeling that my niqabi sisters feel in France when they know their niqabs are going to be banned. It will make their lives miserable. And face it, there are not too many of them so they are not a threat to public safety. Also, I heard that they are allowed to uncover their faces when it’s necessary. Like when they need to take money from the bank, passport or other id confirmation. It is not a big deal! This is just islamophobic!

I’m writing this post to let you know that I am supporting my niqabi sisters in France and all around the world. Be strong darlings, and may Allah subhana wa taala reward you with everything good.

Don’t give up, sisters.. because if you do, they will soon banned hijab; after that, they soon banned abayas; after that, they will soon banned azan; after that, they will soon banned prayer. Am I paranoid? Maybe I am. But wether you are a niqabi or not, wether you like them or not, you have to admit that the niqabis are the frontliners of warriors in defending our freedom of religion as Muslims. So, please send your love and prayers to our sisters in France. Let them know that our hearts  and eyes cry to see them suffering.

Lastly, be honest to yourselves. Don’t you feel positively amazed by them for  choosing to wear niqab? Because I do. I admire them, and may Allah subhana wa taala bless me with iman as much as theirs. Wallahy niqabi sisters, for me, you are inspirations ♥
